Controlled Goods Program

The Controlled Goods Program (CGP) is a registration and compliance program that regulates access to controlled goods, including International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) items, in Canada. Under the authorities of the Defence Production Act (DPA) and the Controlled Goods Regulations, the CGP's mandate is to strengthen Canada's defence trade controls through the mandatory registration and regulation of businesses and individuals who examine, possess and/or transfer controlled goods.

Controlled goods are primarily goods that have military or national security significance; therefore, before importing certain goods into Canada, it is important to determine whether or not the goods are also subject to domestic controls and require registration with the CGP. The Schedule (Section 35) of the DPA contains the items that are considered controlled goods.

N-Sci Technologies Inc. is registered in this program and is fully capable of providing these services and supporting this industry.
